This was my first time sculpting, molding, and casting a prosthetic for my own face. I liked the idea of creating a look that makes it seem as if I were changing or mutating into some sort of reptile. The prosthetic was cast in gel foam, and I proceeded to prepaint it before application. I used Prosaide to apply the gelatin to my face, making sure to stick down all edges. I was proud of the final product and the seamlessness that I was able to achieve.
This is a collection of various wounds that I’ve created without previous prep. Scar wax, 3rd Degree Silicon, and Liquid Latex are all frequently used for these as well as Cream, water-based and alcohol- based paints to blend and colour. Also blood, lots of blood.
